Do you believe in Angels?

When one of your best friends discovers they have breast cancer, what happens next? The doctors say it is a large mass, it has been there for a long time, and she doesn’t have enough time to opt out of chemo. Where do your thoughts go? To the worst, right? At least that’s the way most would see it. When you have gone down a path of awakening consciousness things looks different, clearer, higher. You have recognized you are not your body or your mind and you have discovered time and again miraculous ways to heal yourself through many different modalities. My friend Tania and I share a belief that cancer is the manifestation of toxins and darker aspects of the choices we’ve made, now screaming for our attention. I had lost my friend to a darker path about a year and a half ago. After 18 years of personal and spiritual development, she chose a different road. A descendent one, in her words. I wasn’t made aware of the details until much later. As we drifted apart my heart broke. How do you help someone who already knows how to help themselves? You wait. With love and appreciation, acceptance and faith, that their life journey is exactly what they need to experience for their own evolvement. I never closed that door, and she always knew she could reach out when she was ready. At the beginning of 2015 we reconnected and I lovingly held a space for her to work through any traumas she had experienced. The light in her began to grow again, her heart opened and healed, and she began a new life chapter. A life with a new partner, renewed life purpose, and feeling more strength and peace than ever before. And just at the peak of her integration, cancer knocked on her door. She was now prepared to handle the toxic thoughts, foods and choices that were stored in her body. She called me yesterday and said “you saved my life, you are my angel.” To her, this experience was a blessing and she handled it with laughter, holistic therapies, consciousness tools, world renowned oncologists and traditional methods. As she said, if there were ever a time to put her 18 years of personal development to use, this was it. She was ready to show the world that there are many ways to heal and you can do it with courage and grace. She showed the world that feeling like a victim doesn’t help you or the people around you. She modeled to the world a new way, an exciting way, to walk the path of cancer. Although someone’s path may not be as you think it should, trust in their process. Don’t miss out on your chance to be somebody’s angel, this planet desperately needs you to be one……

After a two and a half year journey, on September 11th 2017, my bestie left this Earth and joined the Angels above. She stood strong, surpassed the odds and never gave up hope. She stood by the choices for her healing that were best for her, and she did it with joy and enthusiasm and courage. She owned her life path, and continued to move forward with faith. I have no doubt she will be back healthy, strong, and free spirited as ever, ready to continue her soul journey. Our connection extends far beyond this physical form. Thank you for the love, the lessons and the gift of your presence in my life. You, are also MY angel <3.
